Today, I decided to share several verses from chapter 5, the message is incomplete without them. When reading, the reader should replace the word WIFE with SPOUSE. Adultery in a marriage is horrible. It hurts both parties, the husband and the wife. It hurts the person that cheated with a married person. Instead of looking outside the marriage to find happiness, fix the problem inside your own marriage. Marriage is hard. We don’t always agree with one another. Since we work long crazy hours (a whole other topic) our schedules often clash. Money may be a problem. Maybe one partner is sick. I am so thankful that my spouse is supportive through my health issues. I am so thankful that he makes good money. But if he didn’t, during this period where it would be hard to work; money could become a problem. We forget that we say for better or for worse. For those that are faithful in their marriage, God will bless. As you read the word, you discover that when we follow as God leads, he blesses our lives. Not just monetarily, but in other areas as well.
18 May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19 A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be intoxicated with her love.
20 Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife?
Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?
21 For your ways are in full view of the Lord,
and he examines all your paths.
22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them;
the cords of their sins hold them fast.
23 For lack of discipline they will die,
led astray by their own great folly.
