Acts 8: 1b-5 A perfect example

^1bA great wave of persecution began that day, sweeping over the church in Jerusalem; and all the believers except the apostles were scattered through the regions of Judea and Samaria. ² (Some devout men came and buried Stephen with great mourning.) ³ But Saul was going everywhere to destroy the church. He went from house to house, dragging out both men and women to throw them into prison. ⁴ But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went. ⁵ Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah.

This is a perfect example of God turning something that is bad- persecution is bad- into something glorious.  God will do that with our pain.  He will take something tragic, such as a death and turn it into something glorious. The problem is sometimes in our grief, we are unable to see the good that is happening. Sometimes when it feels as if everything is running out of control, God is pulling it into control.  Ever hear the saying it is always darkest before the dawn?  Yep it is like that – Here we are, sitting in our grief, our sadness; and then we wake up and notice things are not so bad.  That is because while we are grieving and praying God is moving mountains. We do not notice because we are sad, or maybe it is because God is doing everything so we cannot see it. However, He is there. He is nudging this person, pushing that legislation. Next thing you know, your mountain has been moved. The obstacle is gone.
